An important feature of the new coronavirus pneumonia: difficulty breathing
For ordinary people, we must pay attention to this detail: whether there is shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
The initial symptoms of influenza and new pneumonia are similar. It is indeed difficult to distinguish only by symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle weakness, and general malaise.
However, in this new type of coronavirus pneumonia, most patients have respiratory infection symptoms such as dyspnea.
If you find yourself having difficulty breathing or shortness of breath after catching a cold, you should be alert.
If you have a fever and you still have the following 3 conditions, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time:
1. With dyspnea, or obvious chest tightness, wheezing, or shortness of breath;
2. Close contact with confirmed cases of new coronavirus pneumonia;
3. Patients with basic heart, liver and kidney diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, etc., especially the elderly over 65.
If the body temperature is slightly higher than 37.3℃ and there are no other discomforts, you can observe it at home first.
If the body temperature gradually normalizes and other symptoms are reduced, it means that the body is getting better, and there is only breathing discomfort and chest tightness. It is not necessarily a new type of pneumonia. Unless you have diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other chronic diseases, it is recommended to go to the hospital immediately.
If there are no basic problems, you can relax first, open the windows to breathe, and try to breathe fresh air. If the chest tightness is still not relieved, it is recommended to go to the hospital.
